The best thing about this book is that it gives the reader a good understanding under what circumstances the Quran was revealed, making it more alive to the reader and making him ponder and realize even more the importance of the Quranic message and the status and lofty character and life of the last Messenger of Allah - Muhammed sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. What is also good is that it stays at point. Only the important bits and parts of some of the stories that are not relevant for the immidiate chapter are mentioned, preserving the flow of the reader. Every relevant information is backed up by its source and it provides the context for many of the Quranic verses that speak about the disbelievers of Quraish. It makes one realize that many of the practices of these disbelievers are sadly still found in some of the muslim communities, like believing in superstitions, relying on talismans, getting upset about the birth of a girl etc.- a good book to get a perspective of what Islam came to eliminate and how it was eliminated.
